Senior Industrial Account Executive

The Role

We are actively recruiting a resourceful and driven Senior Account Executive, who is the consummate team player with a competitive spirit. You have a strong selling acumen to expand NECI’s business within existing accounts and penetrate new customers with our industry solutions.

As the Senior Account Executive, you will successfully navigate complex customer engagements while simultaneously building relationships, articulating the value of a solution, and converting qualified leads to sales. You will continuously learn and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of NECI, products, services, and solutions which includes Pulp & Paper, industry trends and regulations.

Here’s How You’ll Be Successful

  • Possessing deep knowledge of Commercial Manufacturing within an Industrial Industry setting (e.g., Power Generation, Pulp & Paper, Chemicals, etc.). Our sales style is consultative and solution driven and, this being a Senior level position, there is a requirement around your ability to challenge and even educate our clients and partners.
  • Defines NECI opportunities for diverse segments in our NECI markets. This includes, Field Products, Data Integration, Process Automation, Wireless Technology and Asset Services,
  • Applies the principles of solution selling process in their day-to-day sales activities.
  • Develops accounts plans to follow the NECI Account Planning process.
  • Works with sales management to develop and execute the NECI sales strategy to achieve the defined opportunities.
  • Represents NECI by active participation in industry presentations, technology-based symposiums, and other technology or industry driven functions.
  • Coordinates and participates in direct sales calls and/or appointments with appropriate current customers and prospects.
  • Provides consistent input and feedback to appropriate senior management on NECI and competitors’ positioning and pricing strategies to increase market share, sales results, and overall product line profitability.
  • Maintains all opportunities and contacts in CRM (Customer Relations Management).
  • Maintains and submits sales forecasts and reports as requested.
  • Meets and/or exceed all established sales objectives
  • Attends training on the assigned product or service routinely as determined by management.
  • Responsible for providing uncompromising quality to all work processes in designated area of responsibility. Has the authority to stop those work processes at any time. It is believed that quality is being compromised.

Here’s What You’ll Do

  • Sell NECI’s products, services, and solutions.
  • Develop and execute account plans to expand NECI existing business and track and manage though our CRM (Customer Relations Management.)
  • Proactively network and build strong relationships to maximize sales territory growth by landing new accounts.
  • Ensure highest standards in client interactions, e.g. solution positioning and presentations, proposal response, etc.
  • Work with the product & services teams’ (offers) to accurately maintain sales forecast, achieve quarterly and yearly orders/revenue targets.
  • Align with broader organization (Marketing/Service) to ensure customer needs are met to maximize NECI business value.
  • Up to 50% local and regional travel

Here’s What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor of Science degree
  • Minimum 5 -10 years of direct sales experience or equivalent industry experience
  • 5+ years of selling experience to Northeastern USA industrial customers
  • Track record of hitting and exceeding quota
  • Experience managing and closing complex sales-cycles
  • Ability to proactively prospect greenfield new business
  • Ability to engage new customers at all levels in the organization
  • Strong Business Acumen and written/verbal communications skills
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Understanding of/accountability to sales behavior metrics including managing business opportunity in a CRM
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM is preferred
  • Process industry business knowledge is preferred

Total expected earnings in this role are $130,000-$205,000, based on experience and sales capabilities. This role does earn Sales Incentives (paid quarterly).
