Duties and Responsibilities

A warehouse technician is responsible for putting together component parts or pieces adhering to a specified set of blueprints or schematics. They verify the correct quantities of components parts and quality checking completed items, manage parts inventory, and use hand tools and mechanical equipment to produce structurally sound products. They build new assembly, calibration, and diagnostics of all brands of safety pressure relief valves, isolation valves, actuators, and other automation equipment as necessary assuring all company and industry safety standards are met. Maintaining real-time and accurate documentation related to safety, repair, and calibration throughout the various processes. ensuring consistently accurate and timely assembly and testing of parts/product from NECI warehouse including regulator change-outs, turn valve assembly, customer drawing valve assembly & build to order assembly.

Ability to assess, trouble shoot, and repair returned product/assemblies due to functionality issues & or damage

  • Follow technical instructions, interpret engineering blueprints and technical terms.
  • Discern quality of parts and materials used in production.
  • Provide accurate and on time shipment of products.
  • Maintain and develop professional and technical competence.
  • Pressure, leak& timing tests are performed on finished products for defects.
  • Follow company procedures and directives.
  • Assess damage & functionality issues on customer returned assemblies
  • Inventory parts and tools used in the assembling process.
  • Maintain the tools used to create products.
  • Participate in the company's safety and health programs.
  • Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace.
  • Contributes to overall team and business success.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

  • Mechanical related Associate degree or 3 + years of equivalent experience.

Skills and Expectations

  • Knowledge of rigging, lifting, and moving heavy awkward products.
  • Must be able to learn how to operate large warehouse equipment, fork trucks, 5-ton cranes, etc.
  • High level of mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn is necessary. Pursuit of Atex certification is required (DCS (Distributed Control Systems).
  • High computer system application literacy including Microsoft 365 and ability to learn new business applications quickly.
  • Customer focused
  • Major contributor to positive team environment.
  • Must be able to work off hours, weekends, and OT on a short notice and on an on-going basis based on business needs.
  • Self-motivated, self-reliant, self-directed, and highly organized.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Reaching, climbing, sitting, reaching overhead, standing for long periods of time, and lifting to 50 lbs.

The starting pay for this position will be between $23 and $25 per hour, depending on experience, and eligible for an annual bonus of up to $2,500.

Must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
