Role Summary

The Order Production Specialist serves as a pivotal link between sales, engineering, and order management teams to ensure seamless order processing, technical data accuracy, and timely customer fulfillment. This role is responsible for reviewing contracts, managing change requests, and overseeing the integration and cataloging of product and part information across business systems. They proactively engage in early-stage order triggers, technical attribute management, and provide ongoing support to both internal stakeholders and customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Initiate order entry processes upon receipt of purchase orders, ensuring all contract and checklist requirements are met
  • Collaborate with engineering and sales to engage early with key customer segments, particularly for credit card orders and recurring clients
  • Manage and verify change requests post-sales approval and construct related documents in relevant business systems
  • Convert sales solutions into actionable orders, ensuring connectivity with appropriate digital platforms and ERP systems
  • Own technical detail aspects of product structures such as mountings, fittings, orientations, and drawing approvals, as defined by sales
  • Maintain and update part data, ensuring information is accurately cataloged for search, quoting, and eCommerce systems
  • Manage supplier updates, technical attributes within various platforms, and coordinate import/export codes as required
  • Support post-order activities like RMA processing and new supplier qualifications
  • Serve as a knowledge resource for internal teams regarding product data and order status
  • Understand and actively participate in our quality management system by adopting our ISO 9000 quality policy and all appropriate elements of our quality management system. This will require dedicating your efforts to the reduction, elimination, and prevention of quality deficiencies, and initiating proper actions to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities related to our products, services, processes, and quality system. This also includes your timely participation as required in Corrective and Preventive Action Requests, Quality Circles/Teams, and collaboration with other Company Departments on continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in customer service and technical follow-up discussions as needed

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of technical mechanical experience
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of mechanical aptitude
  • Proficient in the use of business database/ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex data and documentation processes

This role offers a competitive salary rate of $60,000-$70,000, based on experience.

Must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
